Xavier Durand is the President and CEO of GE Capital, Asia Pacific.
GE Capital Asia Pacific serves more than 15 million businesses and consumers in all major markets across the region, offering specialist financial products and services to support the needs of our customers. Businesses and institutional clients have access to financial solutions including acquisition finance, inventory and working capital financing, leveraged and sponsor finance, equity capital, equipment leasing and fleet management.
Durand joined GE 15 years ago after starting his career in strategy consulting and the insurance industry. Most recently, he led the GE Capital Global Banking business in Western Europe, Russia and Latvia. Previously, he held the position of CEO for GE Money France and DOMS, and held various commercial leadership roles in both GE Money Europe and the Americas.
Durand also served on the Board of publicly traded Garanti Bank in Turkey, and as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of GE Artesia Bank in the Netherlands.
A graduate of both the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris in 1986, and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in 1988 majoring in business, Durand was named a GE Officer in January of 2008.
