Kathy Cassidy

Kathy Cassidy is the Senior Vice President and Treasurer of GE and GE Capital. As Treasurer, she and her team are responsible for global funding and liquidity, cash management, capital management and treasury services for all of GE's worldwide operations. Almost all of GE's debt is issued through GE Capital to support its financial services businesses. GE Capital is America's largest corporate issuer of long-term debt and the world's largest issuer of commercial paper. She has held this role since December, 2001.

Before leading the treasury operation, Ms. Cassidy spent several years as Executive Vice President and Managing Director for GE Capital Real Estate, where she was most recently responsible for both the Strategic Ventures Business and its Mexican operations. From 1996 to 2000, she led GE Real Estate's Capital Markets business, where she was responsible for building the CMBS and Institutional Capital business for small and large loans. A 31-year GE veteran, she pioneered in 1987 the company's early securitization efforts in asset-backed consumer and commercial products.

Kathy serves on the Board of Directors of buildOn, a non-profit organization that empowers urban U.S. high school students through in-class and intensive after-school programs, while also building schools and bringing literacy to children and adults in developing countries around the world. Kathy is also an active member of the Treasury Leadership Roundtable (Washington, DC).

Kathy holds a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut and a MBA from Fordham.
