Jeffrey S. Bornstein is Chief Financial Officer of GE Capital and a Senior Vice President of GE Company. He is also a member of GE's Corporate Executive Counsel and the GE Capital Board.

GE Capital, which operates in 35 countries, provides financial products and services including commercial real estate, aviation leasing, corporate finance, energy and healthcare finance, consumer lending in addition to mid-market lending and leasing. GE Capital is one of the world's largest and most profitable finance organizations. It finished 2010 with a net income of $3.3 billion and assets in excess of $575 billion.

Bornstein joined GE in 1989 with the GE Power Systems' Financial Management Program. In 1992, he joined the GE Corporate Audit Staff and then became Executive Audit Manager. In 1996, he was named Chief Financial Officer for GE Aircraft Engine Services and Vice President in 1998. In 1999, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer of GE Plastics and served as their CFO until 2002.

Bornstein is a Director for the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care of Southwestern Connecticut. He is on the Board of Northeastern University and is on the board of buildOn. He has also been involved in a number of youth programs.

Bornstein received his B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
