As Vice-President & Managing Director, Global Business Development/M&A since August 2010, Aris leads dynamic portfolio re-allocation and in-organic growth efforts across GE Capital. He also maintains global responsibility for GE-wide strategic partnership development initiatives with sovereign capital partners. He was recently responsible for the development of the comprehensive GE-Mubadala global partnership, strategic alliance with the Government Investment Corporation (GIC) of Singapore and launch of GE Capital’s platform in the Middle East.

Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer for GE Money – EMEA, with financial responsibility for operations across 25 countries with assets over $100B and net profit exceeding $2B.

Aris began his GE career in 1989 on the Financial Management Program before joining the Corporate Audit Staff. He moved from Executive Audit Manager, to playing a key role in the launch of Six Sigma at GE Capital, and finally to GE Fleet Services as the Business Development and Latin America Business Leader.

After spending two years in the technology sector in management and business development roles, he rejoined GE Capital as Director of Business Development, where he has provided leadership of multi-business acquisitions and portfolio repositioning. He continued leading strategic portfolio management and M&A activities at GE Corporate, including the company’s exit from the insurance sector.

As Managing Director – Investor Relations, he led the company’s global market development programs with the fixed-income investment community and GE’s ongoing efforts to increase investor understanding of its financial services segments. Aris is a graduate of Concordia University in Canada.
